Mayumi - - - - - - - - ❧ - - - - - - - - • • • • •
we are just M I S G U I D E D G H O S T S - - - - - - - - ❧ - - - - - - - - The little vanner filly half danced as she followed the butterfly further from the lands she called home, with her daddy. She giggled, as she pushed off the ground, with her hooves, in a tiny bound. Her muzzle was lifted up, her teeth snapping together, as she attempted to catch the butterfly, between her teeth. She was determined, you see. Absolutely determined to get the butterfly. And no one would stop her. Because... She could do this. She was sure of it. All it would take is a little work. She landed, her feet spraying apart, in an attempt to keep herself up, locking her knees. She narrowed her hazel eyes as the butterfly flew back, and intertwined around her ears, before floating up above her head, and making a line, leading the filly farther away from her home. She snorted, as she shook back her mane, the threads already beginning to lengthen, and loose their baby fluff, now falling against her neck. Like her mane, her ivory tail was lengthening, loosing the baby fluff, and being replaced with the small cords, seen on the adults. Her coat was loosing the baby soft texture, and her feathering around each hoof was beginning to lengthen, and where now long, and thick enough to swirl around her ankles, but they had yet to reach higher than mid way between her knee and her ankle.
Mayumi was a pretty little filly, showing the natural beauty a Vanner could have, as her mane and tail thickened. Her form was already beginning to show her adult features, her head angled, her neck short, flowing into a compact, but powerful chest, and a short back, with well rounded hindquarters. Her legs were thick, but not overpowering to her body, and were still a little long for her. Her hooves blend in easily with the rest of her body. But it was her coloring that was an eye catcher. Her coloring was a gorgeous skewbald, of bay meets white. Her tail was a rich startling white, while her mane was a delicate mix of black and white, the top part, around her crown being black, and the rest being a rich white. All three of her legs are dipped in ivory, as well as a thick white blaze upon her facade. But along with her tri-colored form, was her beautiful eyes. Eyes so soft in hue, so gentle in emotion. A rare hazel, mixed with green, grey, and blue, with blue being the dominant color.
And those beautiful, angelic eyes were focused on the red and blue butterfly flying in the air in front of her. The filly stared at it, as she gathered her haunches beneath her, and lifted her forelegs, as she propelled herself off the ground with her back legs. She felt herself surge into the air, her mane and tail being whipped back as she stretched her short boa out as far as she could, determined to reach the butterfly, before she felt herself start to fall back to the ground. She hit the ground, with her front legs first, and instantly tucked them towards her chest, along with her head, causing her to roll and land on her back, her legs folded over her belly, and her head gazing up at the butterfly circling around her. She'd failed... again...
Mayei bit her lip, before rolling to her right side, and collecting her legs beneath her, before stretching her front hooves in front of her, propping herself up like a dog. Gathering her hind legs, she centered her balance, then pushed herself up again, before shaking the loose grass from her coat. "I'm going to get you!" She muttered to herself, as the butterfly searched forward, once more leading the filly further from Lullaby Forest. She growled to herself, and surged into action, galloping after it, as her eyes locked onto her prey.
The butterfly swerved, leading the filly through a forest of trees, before sweeping into an edge of a large lake, with an island in the middle. Mayei's attention was pulled away from the butterfly, before the little filly saw it flying over a series of large rocks, scattered, that if hopped across, would create a way to the island. Curiosity speared, the adventurous filly ran to the rocks, before leaping to the first one. She slipped slightly, before scrambling up, and locking her legs, as she judged the distance between the next rock, and her own rock. She took a breath, before leaping... and landing with a slight stumble, on the next rock. By her next leap, she'd gotten the hang of landing on the semi-slick surfaces of the rocks, and made the rest of the trip off with out a hitch. And with one more jump, she landed on sand, only to feel it slip out from beneath her, leaving the filly on the ground, a surprised look on her facade.
She quickly shook her head clear of the surprise, before jumping up, and scrambling to catch up to her butterfly, as it lead her through the brightly hued flowers that bloomed up around her, before she slid to a sloppy stop in front of a huge lake, and a waterfall, but sparkling brightly. And instantly, her attention fell away from the butterfly, as she stared at the bright sparkles, before she laughed softly. "Pretty!" She squealed, as she dropped her muzzle towards the water, and puffed some air out of her nostrils. She watches as the sparkling water moved in small ripples, as the pressure of the air hit the surface. She giggled again, before she lapped at the water, curious of how sparkling water would taste. She was about to go for a second lap before the butterfly suddenly perched on her nose, and the filly stared down at it, her eyes shocked, as her legs remained splayed, her neck angled down to the water.
She jumped back, her head snapping up, and back, with surprise, as she cocked her tiara, staring at the butterfly, before she laughed. The butterfly fluttered its wings, before flying off her muzzle, and disappearing into the trees. It was then that the filly realized she wasn't in Lullaby Forest anymore, and worse, Her brother probably didn't know she was even gone. "Daddy's going to kill me." She looked around, her eyes beginning to take on a slightly frightened look, as she realized, not only had she strayed away from home, she hadn't been watching were she was going... She didn't even know which way home was... "Oh no..." Her voice squeaked out, this time, before she laid down next to the sparkling lake, and silently waited for Daisuke to find her. He always found her... He wouldn't just leave her. "Please let him come..." She mumbled, as she waited, thankful that it wasn't anywhere near dark... yet.
She heard some vegetation crinkle together, and her eyes widened, "Daddy?" A bunch of birds took flight, emerging from the vegetation, and scaring the lost filly. Her scream echoed for a few seconds, before disappearing into the air, as the filly gathered her wits, and sighed. This was going to be one hell of day... All because she wanted to catch a butterfly.

Aurelious
With a calm, purposeful gaze Aurelious took in the scene before him, one he found completely delectable. Drinking from the cool depths of the lake was a fae, a very young one by the looks of it, though her adult features were starting to come through. She was perhaps just over eleven hands, by far shorter than he, who stood at 16 and some.Ever since claiming his kingdom of golden fields he had become remote and shut in, finding beauty only in the wretched land of darkness in which he called his own. So it was to his suprise that when he'd opened his eyes he had awoken here.He had clearly remebered coing to sleep beneath the willow tree, so how on earth would he have gotten here? He did not beleive in sleepwalking, so that was out of the question. Puzzled, he continued to watch the mare in silence.
What was unknown to most, even to Aura himself, was that he was extremely unstable in the head: Catatonic lapses often left him frozen in step or staring into space, and more than once he'd awoken from them in a terrible blood lust. It was a reliable repeat all the time- catatonic episode, black out in a frenzy, and wake up somewhere with no memory of what happened- even aura was oblivious to the fact that he was psychotic.
his interest peaked when the butterfly rose, causing the fillys head to turn up and follow it's movement, leaving her throat exposed.Aurelious shifted and let a soft snort fall from his lips as an odd feeling took him, then he glided from the trees very phantom like, an almost innocent look in his gleaming emerald eyes."Oh! Hello there, you look lost." His voice was very soft and whispy, like the voice of wind in a whisper. It was as if the male only ever talked in coded whispers and alluring hints."You've picked a good land to get lost in, I may be able to help?" Once more his quiet words found thier way to her, and the handsome palomino stallion positioned himself beside her at the waters edge.
The gods must have had something sinister planned for the equines of earth when Aura was born, as he was the perfect machine for ignorant violence. Without a consiounce and literally oblivious to what he did or felt, he could do dastardly deeds without the pain of regret or remorse. And if his relentless capabilities weren't enough, he was completely built to lure you in! His pale golden coat was accented by soft whites and creams in markings, and the broad, muscular form with a sleek well maintained coat hinted that this was a strapping young male full of promise.Even his voice, which was tinted with ice and desolation, left you staring on as if you'd just heard an angel speak. He was a perfect weapon.
"What is your name young one?" His bright green eyes met her own, and his skull tipped slightly in an inquisitive posture. In his eyes was a void, an emptiness that revealed the malfunction in his brain.Of course most were to impressed by what they seen on the outside to investigate, and by then it was too late. This filly was particularly lucky- she was the first to see him and not have him latched to her throat.Of course this was also the first time Aurelious had been stable within the lands- aside from when he'd claimed the hills.
OOC-So she wandered off from home? What if Aurelious pretend to play knight in shining armor? Maybe we can make a mini plot where Mayumi developes her first real crush, since she's becoming a young lady and all ^^
Aura could convince her to join him in the Hills and maybe we could have some drama with her and her brother because Daisuke wants her to come back with him, but Aura has has her corrupted and wanting to stay with him???

Mayumi - - - - - - - - ❧ - - - - - - - - • • • • •
we are just M I S G U I D E D G H O S T S - - - - - - - - ❧ - - - - - - - - The little vanner filly was indeed a little nervous, and defiantly not feeling to smart about just going and running off in. After all, she hadn't even told Daisuke were she was going. Not a smart idea. Her brother was liable to be furious. In fact, the very stallion was already searching through his lands, in hopes of find the yearling hiding somewhere among the flowers, or trees. But alas, she'd gone far beyond his territories, and now, here she was. Lost. The flicka's head snapped up as she heard a sound from near the trees, and she scrambled back, a hind hoof slipping into the water, for a mere moment, as she watched a palomino stallion slip from the trees. The filly swatted her tail against her hindlegs, as he spoke, his words soft, and gentle. Nothing more than a caress. When he mentioned her getting lost, the filly dipped her head, a sign of embarrassment, as she looked around. "I'm not lost... I just don't know where I am... yet." She mumbled, her hazel eyes troubled. The large stallion moved, to stand beside the young filly, near the water's edge. and she glanced up at him, her hazel eyes meeting his green, "A good land... to get lost in? Why so? You can help? Truly. You can help me get home. Please do say you can. I don't like bein' lost. And my daddy's goin' to be furious with me. Truly furious." Her words were soft, gently spoken, and held a slight nervous trill to them. But the most shocking part of her words, was the thick, southern accent. The young filly shook her head, as she looked up at the stallion once more, as he asked her name, his head tipping to the side slightly, "My name's Mayumi, sir. Who are you?" She asked, as she looked up at the stallion, and bit her lip, nervously. Her eyes not quite yet trusting, but hopeful that he'd be able to help her... She didn't like being lost one tiny bit. She shook her head softly, as she flushed slightly, and bowed her head. "I didn't mean to get lost, honest... I was followin' the butterfly, and it led me here. I'm just not sure where here is. My brother leads over Lullaby Forest. If I'm not home before dark, he'll never forgive me, sir." Her southern accented words trilled in the air, similiar to a cowboy accent, a human might have.
She sighed, shaking her head, her lengthening black foretresses falling into her eyes, as she silently hoped this stallion... that he might be able to help her out.... To help her... get home.

And I could defiantly see Mayumi developing her first crush, especially if he plays Prince Charming, or Knight in Shining Armor to her. And as long as he words everything right, it's very likely that he could get her to go to the Hills, and even more likely to have her corrupted, lmao ❧ Credits; Let the credits roll! Aurelious
The vanners skull dropped a notch, and Aura could see that he'd pushed a button of sensitivity, so naturally he had to supress a grin. For one entering adulthood there certainly was an air of immaturaty about her, and though Aura had never been one for foals, it was perhaps that exactly that had him hooked. It was so easy, stringing along an innocent, a child."A good land... to get lost in? Why so? You can help? Truly. You can help me get home. Please do say you can. I don't like bein' lost. And my daddy's goin' to be furious with me. Truly furious."
with an understanding nod of his head he dipped his skull momentarily to lap up a small bit of water." A good land indeed. You see, there are many types of lands out here, some good, others evil. In a good land like this, nothing terrible can triumph, so you are fortunate." Despite the truth tot he words, there was also a small lie hidden among them. There were ways around the rules. For example, one need only tempt the other out of the land into a place where things are permited, dark deeds that would leave you stranded."And your father? Surely he should be no more angrier at you than he is at himself- that is, if he should get mad at all. After all, if you are not watched like a child, they obviously don't expect you to act like one, correct?"
The wheels were in motion now, the wheels that would slowly turn this small child against her own family, the words that would win him all he sought."Besides, you look like capable young mare." He said with a complimentry nod of his head before turning away whisfully and looking off intot he distance, pale cream locks flowing down his nape and chest rather majestically." But I supose if you must get home I can help you."
"My name's Mayumi, sir. Who are you?" The words earned an instant response from him, and marked the first time the stag had told his name to any within the terra."aurelious- you may call me Aura though, if it suits you."It was then her head bowed slightly, and Aurelious reached out to nudge her nape softly before withdrawing."I didn't mean to get lost, honest... I was followin' the butterfly, and it led me here. I'm just not sure where here is. My brother leads over Lullaby Forest. If I'm not home before dark, he'll never forgive me, sir." At this a troubled look passed over his features, and with a asomewhat grave tone he responded, "I'm sorry Miss Mayumi, but i'm afraid we won't be able to make Lullaby forest before dark- and should we attempt after the sun sets the wolves will be upon us faster than vultures to a carcass." He looked up at the already falling sun before looking back to the shorter, fluffy footed filla beside him."What will you do Miss Mayumi, when the wolves come out to hunt?"

Mayumi - - - - - - - - ❧ - - - - - - - - • • • • •
we are just M I S G U I D E D G H O S T S - - - - - - - - ❧ - - - - - - - - It’s not hard to see when someone’s words have managed to effect little Mayei. But nothing seems to get to her better than having another remind her what she’s done wrong. And while at times Mayei could be immature, innocent, and even a little oblivious. The little yearling Vanner knew just how much trouble she could easily get in, if her brother was to realize that she’d managed to run off, again; and had failed to mention where she was going. Of course, in her defense, she was… just… following a butterfly. So, thus, it was the butterfly’s fault she was now lost, right? The little filly watched the larger palomino, as he dipped his head, his muzzle tipping towards the water, but the filly hadn’t missed his nod of understanding… Understanding, that had to be a good thing right? His words were simple, and the filly smiled slightly, her hazel eyes nodding slightly as she listened to his words, and in turn, took comfort from them. Her southern accented tones rang through the air, delicate, but also rich in the way her words were formed. ”Really, sir? I hadn’t met to come to this land. I was followin’ a butterfly, and it led me here. But, I’m glad that the butterfly led me to, what you describe to be a good land… Daisuke wouldn’t be pleased if I had managed to get myself into trouble, because I’d been foolish enough to forget to tell him where I was goin’.” The filly offered a shy smile with her words, and a slight tilt of her tiara, as she looked up at the large stallion, before he spoke again, and she paused, obviously thinking his words over in her mind.
Indeed. Daisuke be just as mad at himself, as he would be at her… In fact, why should he get mad at all. She was a yearling now, nearing her second birthday with every passing day, right? That, surely, met that he should trust her… So why was she getting so worried about his reactions. Besides, she could handle her own. ”For starters, sir. Daisuke only plays the role of my father. My real father never stayed around after he raped my mother. But, you’re right. He shouldn’t get mad at me. he says he trusts me, so surely, he’d expect me to want to explore and learn my way around a new land, right?” She shook her head, sending a chaotic mess of thick black and ivory threads around her neck, before they fell into order once more. ”I’m very capable, sir. I’ve survived all my life with only my brother to look after me. He taught me to be independent.” She nodded once, before catching the act of him turning away and looking off into the distance, and a confused, and slightly curious glance fell upon her façade. ”Are you alright, sir?” She asked, confused by his wistfulness. It hadn’t been expected.
The young filly grinned, as he gave her his name, ”A pleasure to meet ya, Aurelious.” The flicka said politely. When she bowed her head slightly, she felt his muzzle nudge her nape softly, but it was enough of an action, for her to look up at him, and he gave her a troubled look, after she’d spoken, before he handed her, his words back in a grave tone, and she bit her lip as she looked up at the setting sun, herself, obviously put out by its existence. ”You have a point, sir… and please, call me Mayei. Mayumi’s too long, in my opinion. Daisuke’s goin’ to be furious with me, when I finally get home. And I’d rather not be caught out in the dark, with the wolves. I suppose it was even more foolish for me to leave Mayuki at home too…” The filly sighed, thinking upon her constant companion, her coyote Mayuki. ”Mayuki’s my companion. A coyote I met when I was livin’ down south with my brother. She usually accompanies me everywhere. But I’d given her the day off, she’d been workin’ way to hard tryin’ to keep me out of danger. ‘Sides, I never get into danger anyways. I’m careful…”
The sun was setting low, casting the world into shadow, and a wolf howled the moment she’d finished her words, and she jumped slightly at the sound, side stepping closer to the larger, palomino stallion, and glancing up at him as he spoke, before she bit her lip. ”Mr. Aura… I don’t wanna get caught by the wolves… I really don’t. Do you know somewhere safe I could spend the night, so that at least I’d be able to go home in one piece in the mornin’. Coyotes are dangerous, but I’ve heard stories that the creatures of the night, here, are worse. Darks and wolves alike. Not to mention the wild cats and other creatures that stalk in the dark…” The filly looked up at the stallion, and for a second her eyes showed a shadow of hesitant trust, before she glanced away again, chewing at her lower lip, not wanting to end up food for scavengers.
