Ironhide
The wind picked up just in time to ruffle the fluffy silver/violet mane of the sleek black stallion.Beneath the warm suns light there was almost a blue sheen to his lusterous coat, causing the brindle paterning to shine like never before. Ironhide had always know there was something different about him, a unique quality so strong it even apeared outwardly in his coat. And finally, for the first time in his life, he recognized that quality, and knew what it was for. It was the shining star of leadership meant only for him; Ironhide, the Light King. There weas to much sorrow in the world, to much domination, and he would let it go on no longer. His people needed him.Soon Heart Break Eternal would flourish, and there would be families everywhere, living the lives they deserved.
Family. It had always been a touchy subject. After the loss of his mate Sunstreek and thier foal, the silver brindled male had felt void.Much of his life after that had consisted of nothing but pain and maddening guilt. Why hadn't he done something? Why had he lived when they had....Yes, it was a touchy subject, but one could see upon first look that deep emotions were not one to be worn on this males sleeves.
With a content snort the 16.3 hand stag flipped back on to his back, rolling in just the right way to scratch the itch that had formed between his shoulder blades.Life was good here, the peace, the silence, his new found sense of purpose.Yet of the three things he did wish he could change but one; the silence. His homelands on the Isle were beyond beautiful, and with the claiming of it had come a deep and personal need for company, for family. He needed laughter again, smiles and warm touches. He needed strong, reliable males and level headed co-leaders; even the old, frail, or afraid. As long as they had love in thier heart or thier homes and families, he could teach them not to be afraid, to stand strong, together as one.
He had seen wickedness fall on innocent horses before, had seen that standing quietly by in hopes that things would go away was a recipe for nothing but disaster and pain. But no more.He would teach them...
In the distance, beyond the trees that boardered the small, green grassed meadow, a birds startled allarm call rang out, catching the ebony stallions attention.Flipped off his back so that his legs were tucked comfortabley beneath him, he gazed out int he directionw here a small group of birds had taken flight, tall ears standing alert." Damn wolves..." He could only accept such an answer as wolves, as this was a peaceful land, and the birds knew this. Why would they run from an equine? The cold fingers of lonliness began to set in again at that thought, and he found himself hoping eyond reasont hat it would be a horse coming. At the moment the striped legged stag was ready to accept the company of a male, though he couldn't help but find a female would be more apporpriate, after all, it was spring, and he was used to spending such a season with one he could relax with and shower affection.Thoughts of Sunstreek returned once more, and his arched boa dropped slightly.

She had to run, run to get away from it all. The past. Everything. The Dark brown mixed mutt breed of a mare made sure she didn't stop moving, but with one turn of her head to look behind her, she felt a sudden force colloid with her body. The mare groaned a bit and shock her head to rid the pain away. Little good it did. Just made the throbbing pain worse. The tallish mare looked to see who and what she had run into. A stallion. Great. He was gong to yell at her wasn't he? She snorted softly "My apologies. I didn't mean to run into you, I assure you. Accident. Are you alright? She asked as she checked her own body for any injury. None but her head. She realized she had not given her name. Should she lie? Give a false name? She had no idea. She froze for a minute, unable to think or do anything. "My name Is Erasable Echo. Echo for short. She added with a sigh, better to tell the truth than lie right? Maybe in different situations the opposite of that would be okay to do. Lie than Speak the truth.
She had ran from the past far too long, it was the past, therefore it shouldn't matter right? Wrong. At lest in Echo's mind. She had killed. Been thrown out for it, wanted for murder. Had to lie so many times just to be safe. Her own mother hated her daughter. Erasable Echo Tried not to cry in front of the stallion as those memories came back and replayed in her head. She knew she had to be strong later down the road, and she had better start doing so now. She swallowed the huge lump in her throat and pushed back the tears as much as she could.
"Do you have a place I could stay or know of someone who could let me stay in their lands. Just for the night. That's all. She flashed a bright smile. And than shyly looked away, her multi-colored eyes looked at the ground. Her left eye was the color of the sky and and the Right eye was the color of the grass. She had no idea what this stag's loyalty was. For all she knew he could be a dark. She shivered as she had heard horror stories about them, already, as she had ran, she heard other equines words about the alliances. And she had declared herself a neutral. "I have no idea who you follow, but I am of the Neutral Alliance. I suppose." She gave a shrug as she looked at the black colored brute.

Ironhide
The body that colliaded with him had been unexpected, and thus the black stallion stumbled slightly when he was struck. He was quick to regather himself however, as it took a lot to throw him completely off balance. If there was one thing Ironhide knew he could trust, it was his body.
Harks pinned flat against his skull as he whipped around to face whomever had struck him, a snarl gripping his features only to have it wiped clean away as the soft, feminie vocals of apology swept over him.She went on to ask if he was well, and he wasted no time in replying, after all, she seamed terribly uneased."I'm fine I assure you."Though the words were firm, he offered her a soft smile, to show there were no hard feelings.
Next came the introductions, something he was well used to, and as she introduced herself as Echo, he was quick to give his own name."I am Ironhide." He gave a curt dip of his head, as he was acustom to doing when meeting a mare for the first time.
Ears twitched as she began to speak again, and he found himself caught off guard and a little disapointed. A neutral. He had nothing against them, so long as they kept to themselves and didn't make bargains with the darks. Most where good horses, and though he was a little unnerved that the fae had simple volunteered to go with the first stallion she'd seen, he intended to help her."Your a lucky mare to have asked me and not someone else. I am the Light King, ruler of Belleza Isle, and should you have asked another you may have found yourself in a situation you could have avoided.
He paused a moment, making sure his orbs found hers so that the extremity of what he was saying would sink in clear and deep."You may reside with me until you find yourself something with your own alliance, but take caution in the future- your a pretty mare, and many would take advantage of your trusting nature."

Ironhide. So he was fine. A light. A king. A ruler. Nice, kind and Echo wanted to trust him so much. She grinned at him and his offer. Than the smile left a bit to be replaced with a frown. The mare sighed softly and spoke. "Thank you. Lord Ironhide. You offer is a fine one, and one I would love to accept. I have claimed a land, Winter wonderland..I am not as safe as I had hoped I would be. For I need a mate soon, if I am to still hold power in that land. She felt heat rise to her cheeks and looked away shyly as he spoke of her beauty. "M'lord...I am not as pretty as others, and surely not as much so as your Queen. Echo spoke softly and than looked around the land as it looked much different than her winter land. "Ironhide. If I can not find a mate, within Due time...I ask that I can reside with you. For although I am a neutral it is because of my past... She grimaced as she spoke "My step-father, was a dark, a horrible stallion to my mother and I. She let him beat her, call her names and the like, I could not stand it. He was royalty and he excepted me to roll over, when I was two and let him beat me. But I fought back..I poisoned him. Not to much, just enough to make him sick..Scare him..But apparently, that amount was enough to kill him-The herd made me a fugitive. I came here, looking for a new start when my mother who on her death bed would not even-Acknowledge me as her own daughter..So I would call myself a light, But it would be a lie wouldn't it? Even if my sin was done in justice. Echo took in deep breath between pauses and tried not to let her emotions get the best of her. "I do, not ask for you piety either. Just understanding. Echo said as she let her mane flow softly, her multi colored eyes looking into Ironhide's.
