{Axel} If you have a dream, don't wait. Act One of life's little rules.
The Stallion looked about the lands in the light known as Blackmoon Terra. So much for any company. He thought bitterly as no horses approached him. The Black Warlander came to a halt in his walking. His vivid green orbs took in the scenery around him. His red banner moved ever so slightly. These lands where far different than his home lands. Not many being who had made sure that they held no emotion, that they possed no heart. No love. No feelings. If any it was fake. A mockery. But Axel.. Well, he had begun to feel emotions ever since he had that stupid kid come into the herd. That stupid kid who left. Left the herd and He, Axel. The eighth member of the herd was supposed to kill him. To dispose of the traitor as his lead would say. He tried to. He had fought with him. But let him go. Axel shook his head as he rid his past of the kid. Of his herd. Axel slowly opened his green orbs and walked at a slow lengthy pace. Wondering, waiting if anyone would greet him.
The stallion was defined by his looks, as most other's where. His red mane and banner, where the standout. The main attraction. His Green eyes were vibrant and a light green. His markings consisted of Reverse teardrops one under each eye. So two. For he had two eyes. Any more and he himself would call him a freak. Axel had no memories of his life before the herd. Except Isa was his friend, and his true name. Lea. The herd that had only thirteen members. Well..Fourteen technically, but Xion The black pony mare didn't count, for she died fairly quickly. Axel could still recall his friend. Isa. Or Saix. His true friend. Although that stupid kid...Roxas. Was his friend, he couldn't tell if it was real or fake. Unlike Isa who clearly thought he was Axel's true friend. Which, Axel had to admit he was...He had known him before the herd had become a place where darkness reigned.
Axel waited and waited for some sounds of another being close to him. But as his aud's awaited in feverish anticipation, he couldn't hear one sound of a equine. His eyes were pulled to the ground. Ever since the herd disbanded..His life had been a miserable mess. Axel looked up from the ground and to the Blackmoon Terra's land. Covered in snow. He didn't mind the cold. He liked it actually. It was a comfort. Something other than Rain or Sun or wind. Who knew what company would arrive at the black coated stallion's front door step? A mare? A stallion? What alliance? What kind of personality? Nice? Kind? Anti-social? Sarcastic? Rude? A man-whore? A little slut?
Got it memorized?

C A L I C O They say time makes everything better, that the grief fades and sadness is replaced by apathy, and later... later you can be happy. It's been three years, and I'm still not even into the apathy phase. They lied. I still imagine her, the love of my life, with a spring in her step as she walks alongside me, her white locks bouncing and her brown eyes dancing with joy. That golden body that shines like the sun, my beautiful palomino pride... and then, when the memories begin to change, and life seems bearable as long as her ghost remains to me... she fades. That gorgeous Arabian cross is sucked back into a vortex that I can't follow to, try as I may, and her screams of desperation are all that's left to fill my ears. I love her. I miss her. Not a day goes by that I don't think about what could have been...
The memory of our child isn't as painful, but it's still enough to say that my life is screwed up. You see, on that fateful day, Athena had left for the birthing grounds alone. Foolishly, I allowed her to leave. I regret that decision daily, for she was murdered in the hopes that another mare could fill her position in the herd, and the child? All that I've heard is that it was a dun, and it escaped... The stallion was always stuck in a void of his own remorse, trapped by self-pity and pain. Like Romeo, the thought of his beloved dead was too much for the grulla stallion to bear. He himself hoped to be dead, yet the hope that his son still survived kept him going. The odds of him crossing paths with that foal were extremely unlikely, and then impossible to consider he would recognize a foal he had never met. Calico, why do you go to these lands? They're so dreary... so dark... Athena's voice danced through the grulla's mind as he walked the perimeter of Blackmoor Terra. Because... these lands don't have the essence of you... I can think here. The stallion answered aloud, his Andalusian head bobbing with his rhythm.
When his steps broke over the boundary of Blackmoor, all feelings connected to Athena seemed to vanish. The stallion adjusted the dark red rose in his mouth, flicking an ear uncertainly as his green eyes swept over the landscape. His gaze paused momentarily on another stallion just off to the distance, one as black as night with a mane as red as blazing fire and eyes as piercing green as his own. Without the fear of Athena's disapproval, I stepped forward, closing the distance carefully between me and this brute. I don't like physical contact... mostly from mares. That should be reserved for my beloved, even though she's gone. I'll remain loyal to her memory, of course. Perhaps making a friend, though, she wouldn't mind... Salutations. The stallion formed a single masculine word around the worn-down stem of his rose, his eyes listlessly studying the stallion and waiting for a reaction.

{Axel} If you have a dream, don't wait. Act One of life's little rules.
Axel looked at the stallion as he came closer to him, green eyes met the same color. He looked at the male as he spoke his greeting. Axel replied "Hello, there brute. He didn't see the need to speak more, for the stallion did not say anything else besides a simple greeting. Axel's mind tried to wander off to the past..Could he make new friends? After losing Saix and Roxas..He wasn't sure. Axel sighed. He missed the old days, he and Roxas would watch the sunset from the highest hill and talk about the day or what it would be like to have a heart, roxas said he had one, and Axel would never admit he felt he had one too. He couldn't. Still couldn't. He had been shut up from that part of his self for years. His whole life practically.
Axel was glad to be rid of his lead and some of the other members of the herd. Some of them where planning on overthrowing the lead. Two actually. And he had joined. Why he still didn't know and couldn't figure out. He shook his head as he slowly came back to the present, his eyes looked at the male before him.
Got it memorized?

C A L I C O The stallion's nostrils flared as he attempted to take in the scent of this other stallion, except his senses were numbed as the aroma of Athena seemed to intoxicate him. Without fail, his senses could pick up on one thing or another that would remind him of her. Everything anyone ever did, ever said... something would be similar. Cal's eyes, the same green as an emerald, closed in apprehension of her ghost's appearance. His jaw worked nervously, chewing the stem of his rose with the stallion's incisors. It's funny how simple sounds and scents trigger her within my mind, how I can believe she's back alive, if only for a few seconds. My world seems to stop spinning, everything belongs to her... always... I'll forever be hers. The stallion's zebra striped legs shifted in agony from her memory, before his eyes finally opened. The stud tossed his skull, removing his forelock from his field of vision as he tried to removed that special mare from his mind.
The other's words, luckily, broke my concentration on her. For once, another's words didn't remind me of her. His voice was too... rough to be Athena's. Name's Calico, not brute. Feel free to call me Cal, if you will. I corrected out of reflex. Honestly, why must others insist on belittling by name calling? That's like calling your parents by their formal names. It's rude and disrespectful, in anyone's case. Who might you be? The stallion questioned, his eyes locking on the other stallion's strange markings. This other, he was an oddity, something he'd never seen before. It made Calico want to stare, though that, too would be rude. Why do we need manners, though? No one seems to have them anymore. This land is living proof of it; the deterioration, the darkness, the lack of life... it's all because those who normally enter it are corrupt. They take a piece of the land's innocence each time they enter it, and leave it defiled. Tell me, stranger, do you know the purpose of this land? He questioned, allowing his gaze to leave the other's unique markings and his eyes to search the terrain once again.
